Honey Shelf ("Honey Shelf", "we", "us") provides AI-powered manufacturing and inventory intelligence for consumer brands. This policy explains what information we collect when you use honeyshelf.ai and app.honeyshelf.ai (together, the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what we need to run the Service, we protect it, and your data is yours.
1. Information we collect
We collect three categories of information:
- Account information. Your name, email address, company name, and billing details when you create an account or subscribe to a plan.
- Store data via Shopify OAuth. When you connect your Shopify store, we access the data needed to power the Service — products, variants, inventory levels, and order history. Access is granted through Shopify's OAuth flow and limited to the scopes you approve; you can revoke it at any time from your Shopify admin.
- Usage analytics. Information about how you use the Service — pages viewed, features used, device and browser type — collected to keep the Service reliable and to understand what to improve.
You also create data inside the Service — bills of materials, suppliers, production orders, purchase orders, and QC records. We refer to all of the above stored on your behalf as "Customer Data".
2. How we use your information
- To provide the Service: calculating sales velocity, drafting production orders, syncing inventory with Shopify, and everything else the product does.
- To support you: responding to questions, investigating issues you report, and notifying you about changes that affect your account.
- To improve the product: aggregated, de-identified usage patterns help us decide what to build and fix.
3. What we never do
- We do not sell your data, or your customers' data, to anyone. Ever.
- We do not use Customer Data to train AI models — ours or anyone else's. The AI Copilot reads your workspace to answer your questions; your data does not become training material.
- We do not share your business data with other Honey Shelf customers, advertisers, or data brokers.
4. Shopify data scope
We request only the Shopify API scopes required for the Service to function: read access to products, variants, and orders, and read/write access to inventory levels so that two-way sync works. We do not request access to your customers' payment information. Order data is used to compute sales velocity and demand signals for your products; end-customer personal details are not used for any other purpose. Disconnecting the integration stops all data flow immediately.
5. Storage and encryption
Customer Data is stored with reputable cloud infrastructure providers. Data is encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest. Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel who need it to operate the Service, and that access is logged.
6. Data retention and export
We retain Customer Data for as long as your account is active. You can export your data — products, inventory, orders, BOMs, and reports — at any time, including as XLSX files. If you cancel, your workspace remains readable for 60 days so you can export everything, after which Customer Data is deleted from production systems within a reasonable period, except where law requires us to keep records (for example, invoices for tax purposes).
7. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies: essential cookies that keep you signed in and the Service secure, and analytics cookies that help us understand aggregate usage of our website. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may prevent the app from working.
8. Third-party processors
We rely on a limited set of service providers to run Honey Shelf, each bound by contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations:
- Payments: subscription billing is handled by payment processors; we never store your full card details.
- Hosting: cloud infrastructure providers that host the Service and store Customer Data.
- Email: transactional email providers that deliver account notifications and support replies.
We share with each processor only what it needs to perform its function.
9. Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal information at any time. Most of this is available directly in the app; for anything else — including full account deletion — email hello@honeyshelf.ai and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in a jurisdiction that grants additional rights (such as objection to processing or portability), we honour those too.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by email or in-app notice before the changes take effect, and update the "Last updated" date above.
