How Honey Shelf came to be.

Honey Shelf wasn't dreamed up in a boardroom. It came from watching real brands lose real money to problems software should have solved years ago.

We watched brands run factories on WhatsApp

Founders approving production runs from forwarded voice notes. Ops leads scrolling months of chat history to find one quantity. Great products, brilliant teams — and their entire supply chain living in a messaging app. It wasn't a tooling gap. It was a canyon.

Then we found the velocity insight

Every brand we met planned production off average daily sales. But averages lie: every day you're out of stock records zero sales — and those zeros poison the math, making demand look smaller than it is. So you produce less, stock out again, and the spiral tightens. Fixing that one calculation — excluding stockout days — changes everything downstream.

So we built the 6-stage pipeline

Accurate velocity is only useful if it turns into action. We mapped how product brands actually manufacture and built it into six stages — Check Stock, Production Orders, Buy Materials, Receive Goods, Produce, Release to Store — with the boring parts, like drafting POs and calculating quantities, done for you.
